Simpler controls needed in virtual worlds

This is a good read. Especially the social and human capital grabs suggested by applying a hierarchical control to avatars though permissions such as how to dress. Pehaps as every employee who's ever wasted their lives getting too and from work begins to mentally exist that reality though mobile devices and virtual connectedness, this is the beginning of new attempts to place impositions. "you work to make a small few rich, and we remind you of that through the permissions we grant you". As to the controls. That's rubbish. If you can't figure out how to mover in a virtual world ask a five year old and hand back your car keys. The desktop; the browser ... The value in virtual space is that we can finally do without the familiar mechanisms and immerse ourselves to create and do anything we want. The point is that we don't want everyone. And we don't wan more stupid conventions that tie us to surbitude. Add that to your research. Show your level of scripting ability or where you are in wow heroes. ... You don't get it ...
